Y2C (Young Confirmed Catholics)
For all those in the Confirmation programme as well as young adults who have been Confirmed (Grade 11 upwards). Y2C meets every Sunday evening after Mass, from 7.30pm to 9.00pm. Activities include: discussions on matters of faith, guest speakers, socials, faith formation activities, spiritual exercises (eg. Taize evenings) and fellowship. Y4Y (Youth for Youth)
Under the auspices of Y2C, Y4K caters for all teenagers in High School, especially Grades 8, 9 and 10. Y4K activities take are held every 1st and 3rd Friday night from 7.00pm onwards. Y4K (Youth for Kids)
Also under the banner of Y2C, Y4K includes all those in Senior Primary (Grades 6, 7 and 8). Activities take place in the parish hall every 1st Friday of the month from 5.oopm to 7.00pm. Games evenings, theme evenings, sporting activities, and mucking around are some of the activities of this group. Contact Aileen Rodel (084 387 7188).

World Youth Day takes place in Sydney, Australia from Tuesday 15 July - Sunday 20 July 2008.
WYD was started by Pope John Paul II in 1986. His aim was to bring together young Catholics from around the globe to celebrate and learn about their faith on a regular basis. Their success has made worldwide news over the years. Based on attendance at the closing Mass, these days attract millions! In Manila 5 million, Paris 1.2 million, Rome 2 million, Toronto 800,000 & Cologne 1.2 million

Sydney is hosting the 23 World Youth day and the 10th International World Youth day. Organizers are expecting to attract a modest 500,000 pilgrims, including 125,000 international visitors.
The theme for WYD 2008 is: 'You will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you will be my witnesses.' Acts 1:8

Mini Youth
Held every 2nd Friday of the month from 5.00pm, Mini Youth caters for our youngest parishioners; the pre-primary and junior primary (ages 5 to 9). Activities usually revolve around theme evenings. Check the bulletin for details.
