The parish offers the following Liturgical Ministries: Eucharist, Word, Hospitality and
Altar; as well as the Ministry of Care which is our outreach to the: Sick, Housebound, Lonely,
Divorced, Bereaved as well as those personally affected by crime and violence.
Liturgical Ministries are under the direction of Fr Des. Eucharistic Ministers and
Ministers of the Word are appointed and mandated by him. Ministers of Hospitality and Altar
(Sacristans) volunteer for this service. There is regular and ongoing formation for all
liturgical ministries. Dates are published in the parish year plan and attendance is obligatory.
The Ministry of Care is co-ordinated by Peter Venter. In the spirit of the Gospel
and
the imitation of Our Lord, those who serve in this ministry bring love, care,
compassion and kindness
to those in most need of it in our parish community.
