Those who seek Full Initiation in the Church through the Sacrament of Confirmation, join the
Parish's JOURNEY PROGRAMME. This programme follows on from the Adventure and
Choices programmes for adolescents in the parish (see High School Catechetics).
In the
Journey programme, candidates are given a thorough grounding in the essentials of the faith,
encouraged in their spiritual growth and development, and should become actively involved in the life
of the parish.
Following the celebration of the Sacrament of Confirmation half way through the
second year of this programme, is a Preparation for Life Course which is given by Fr Des. This
weekly course prepares the newly initiated to prepare for life's journey as a Catholic beyond the
protected environment of school and home.
